Join the Kick Off Meeting of the RDA Working Group 'Data representation in chemistry and materials based on harmonised, FAIR terminology and ontologies'. - Wednesday, September 13th
OntoCommons is delighted to announce the RDA Working Group titled "Data Representation in Chemistry and Materials Using Harmonized, FAIR Terminologies and Ontologies." An online kick off meeting for the WG is held online on September 13 at 11:00-12:30 UTC.
The objective of the WG is to provide an overview of terminology, taxonomy, and ontology development approaches in chemicals and materials, examine best practices, and develop recommendations for materials terminology and harmonised ontology development.
The WG concentrates on increasing the adoption of the FAIR Principles in the research of compounds and materials (particularly in relation to Interoperability and Reusability), supported by enhanced, more widely disseminated metadata and ontologies.
