About DBpedia
DBpedia is a crowd-sourced community effort to extract structured content from the information created in various Wikimedia projects. This structured information resembles an open knowledge graph (OKG) which is available for everyone on the Web.
Cooperation with OntoCommons
The DBpedia ontology is an ongoing crowd-sourcing effort containing 768 classes, 3000 different properties and about 4,233,000 instances. The Universidad Politecnica de Madrid hosts the Spanish DBpedia node.
