The main objective of this focus area is to improve intra-and cross-domain interoperability: to do so, OntoCommons will collect community input and formulate guidance and agreements concerning the harmonisation of domain ontologies.
The harmonization follows a develop/test/validate/agree procedure, using the outcomes of the Top Reference Ontology focus area and the Ontology Ecosystem Toolkit, as well as the outcomes of related initiatives.
